I Saw a Bear

I was on my way to town yesterday morning when I came around a corner and saw a black bear. I pulled the dash cam video for you. Make sure your sound is up because the husband thinks it’s funny when I gasp. 🙄

I need to get the apples off the trees today. The bears are probably hungry and looking to fatten up for the winter. We did not have a good huckleberry season.

I finished my Free Range Slacks yesterday afternoon.

This is the first time I’ve made the narrow-legged version and I hadn’t realized that they are almost a barrel-leg type pant. That doesn’t matter to me as I love the way they fit and feel. More of these are definitely in the plan. (BTW, the crotch is not as low as it looks in the photo.)

I wish I had started sewing clothes for myself a long time ago. I would have had a lot less frustration when shopping.

Today and tomorrow need to be devoted to getting ready for my Quilting Mayhem classes. I have been making lists of all the stuff I need—both sewing and knitting—and will start packing later this week. I think I will also make another roaster of stock and get that canned.
